Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis as a therapeutic tool to confront a problem and create positive change. Hypnosis bypasses the critical factor of the conscious mind and opens communication with the vast and more powerful subconscious mind.
In this altered state of consciousness, change can be readily made, awareness elicited, habits conquered, and fears mastered. Hypnotherapy offers a pleasant path to realized creativity, increased confidence, reduced stress and emotional/spiritual harmony. During a session, clients are in control of their experience. They are in a heightened state of awareness, able to accept only that which is relevant to their therapeutic goal.
Hypnotherapy with Debra Collins, is client-centered. It is about what you want to achieve in your life. You, the client, identify your desired outcome and the content of all suggestions used by the hypnotherapist to help move you there. The client holds the answers.
What if I can’t be hypnotized?
Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that we all go into and out of everyday. If a person wants to go into hypnosis with a hypnotherapist, they will. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. All one needs to do is follow along with their hypnotherapist into a relaxed state of mind and body. A heightened state of awareness is then achieved where the conscious mind observes the subconscious mind coming forward.
Will I be vulnerable to suggestions I would not want or made to do things I would not want to do?
We have all seen people participating in stage shows doing embarrassing things that make us laugh…but that is just what it is…ENTERTAINMENT!! It is fun for those who want to participate and for those who watch.
We all have built in filters and walls that govern what moves into and out of our minds. Hypnotherapy at Restored Essence is client-centered. It is about what you want to achieve in your life. You, the client, identify your desired outcome and the content of all suggestions used by the hypnotherapist to help move you there. The client holds the answers.
Hypnotherapy FAQ
What does it feel like to be in hypnosis?
The physical feelings while in hypnosis vary from person to person and from experience to experience. Generally, there is a deep sense of relaxation of mind and body. Some people feel a sense of heaviness, some of lightness; it is a very individual experience. There can be sensations of tingling or slight numbness somewhere in the body; or not. But almost universally, clients report a very pleasant feeling of peace and calm.
Will I remember what happens in a session?
The content of your session is completely available to your conscious mind if it chooses to reflect. But, not only will you remember the parts that you wish to in your conscious mind; you will have all of the feelings of relaxation, peace, calm and resolution that you experienced in the session stored in the subconscious mind; never forgotten.

The two of you then discuss the reason for your visit and what you wish to accomplish. The process of hypnosis is explained and any questions you have are answered. You are reminded that you are completely in control of the session before you are guided into the place where your solutions are discovered and your future begins!
